Thanks to everyone who sent/told me about the GBA emulation. I have the emulators and all 45 roms here on my drive. But I currently have no plans on adding these to my page. I will be buying a GBA, maybe this Friday... A small fix version of Gens - the best Megadrive emulator for Windows. - Fixed a stupid bug with Netplay The emulator formally known as GensX - and Vegas before that. This is a 32X (and therefore Megad/Genesis) emulator for Windows. The 32X emulation seems decent, but rather slow from my testing (not really my area though). Good to see its still alive though. - Tweaked PSG balancing and fixed a bug in it. - Major architectural changes to the 68000 emulation. - Fixed a big problem with the Genesis sound emulation. Nearly all sound problems have been fixed! - Fixed a bug with the Genesis sprites. - Fixed 32X memory timing. - Fixed bug in window title. - Numerous optimizations to the memory architecture. - Rewrote portions of the memory system into x86 assembly. - Many speed-ups in the SH2 and 68000 code. - Battery Ram now auto-loads and auto-saves. - Numerous bug fixes. I have had quite a few emails with people pointing me to the updates (ZSnes, MAME, WinUAE...) - thanks to everyone. A combination of lack of time/effort meant I haven't touched the page in two months. My main reason behind this is the DOS based emulators which I have, cannot run fully under Windows 2000 (which I now use). I'm now going to slowly move as many of the sections over to the Windows ports as available, please bear with me... The WinUAE machine continues, lots of changes in this series of beta (JIT, better AGA support), time to dig out those old ADF's and start playing I think. - FIXED: 50Hz/60Hz switching (B.C. Kid) works again. - FIXED: Various Picasso96 issues. - FIXED: F11 should be '\' again. - ADDED: .GZ support in floppy dialog. - CHANGED: Tweaked the sound-code yet again, hopefully will be less choppy. - CHANGED: Tweaked the exception-handling code for JIT. - REMOVED: icon1.ico from the source-code archive. The ultimate in emulation - this is one of my favorite emulators - I have this and MAMEW on my laptop, great for lunch hour gaming. Now that Pilotwings works, they must be looking at reaching perfection. - Implemented triple buffering in full screen mode - Fixed top 8 lines being invisible of FFMQ - Optimised DirectDraw code some more giving a 10-15% speed increase - Fixed black screen when switching windows - Improved loading and shutdown time - Rock 'N Roll Racing is working again - Fixed Lennus 2's sprites - Almost figured out Wizardry 4's rom format. It seems like this game was incorrectly dumped so everything in it is out of order. - Final Fight 2 is working again - Vsync option now works in triple buffering mode - Now shows minimize window animation when minimizing - Fixed mouse pointer under full screen mode - New ZSNES icon in Windows port Gens almost reaches v1.0 - can this emulator reach perfection like Meka almost has? - Kaillera client version updated to 0.83 - Kaillera implementation is different, Gens can now start even if the kailleraclient DLL is not present. - Window split fixed. - Z80 cycles timing modified. - Load/save state improved. - Vietnamese menu translation added. - minors bugs fixed. A new release of z26 for DOS, this version has a new and improved SECAM color palette. BouKiCHi's nice Gameboy emulator for DOS - has a small update. As per normal - it has Japanese documents and therefore I have no clue what has been changed. The standard MAME build is now compiled for Windows. This version acts the same as the standard DOS build (you run it from the command line, and therefore lacks a GUI). But apart from that, its totally Windows based - and very nice indeed. - Power Play - Neck & Neck - Shuffleshot - Elevator Action Returns - Darius Gaiden - Puzzle Bobble 4 - Land Maker - Twin Qix - Gekiridan - Magic Bubble - J. J. Squawkers - Go Go! Mile Smile - Bang Bang Ball - Jitsuryoku!! Pro Yakyuu - Clash Road [Luca Elia] - Dommy - Ixion - Vandyke - Tunnel Hunt

Work continues on this Megadrive / 32X / SegaCD emulator, it still lacks sound but the Megadrive emulation is supposed to be good (I prefer Gens though). Its popular for the 32X/CD emulation though. - Fixed some CD bugs that screwed up most Sega CD games - Fixed the rotate/scale graphics - Added Sega CD "font" graphics support - ZIP support - PNG screenshot saving, even though I know you all were hoping for BMP or PCX instead ;) - Added lots more dialog box items and menu items to multilingual engine - Auto frameskipper (and delayer) - Added autodetect of 565/555 graphics modes (fixes 32X color on the 555 systems) - Added AGES demo file saving and loading - Added powerful new autonaming engine for saved states, patches, screenshots and demos - Overhauled Genesis render - 11 % speed up (to ~70 fps) on my PII 350 - crappy CPUs like AMD and Celeron should have even more than 11 % speed up - Added *FULL* shadow and highlight support - Added sprite masking support - Added sprite limiting support - Fixed many graphics glitches for 32-cell Genesis games - Added statusbar This wonderful Megaddrive emulator for Windows gets an update. German, Dutch, Greek and some others updated. - Add a FAQ section to the gens.txt file. - A special italian version of Gens.txt in this release but not updated for Gens v0.98. Game Fixed: - Street Racer (hilight effect during intro, broken in v0.8) - Dino dini's soccer (graphics bugs in font fixed) - Some games broken in Gens v0.95 The open source Raine project continues to grow, below are some of the changes, check the Whats New for a full rundown. - Added donpachi, hot dog storm (cave) - Added 3wonders (preliminary work) - Added 16bpp support and rotation to 90% of the games. - Added bpp selection to the gui (you can now change the bpp without quiting raine...) - Added continuous playing (see below) - Changed the game selection dialog : options can be chosen with the new button "Selection", and added selection by company. - Fixed Battle Shark : it works again - Fixed music rate in toaplan2 games (batrider...), thanks to a patch on the net. - Fixed sample rate not being saved in 0.30a. - Fixed bad samples in wrestlefest - Some assembler optimisations on the basic drawing functions (from Karma) - Fixed light bringer (broken in 0.30a).

We now have MAME to emulate all these games (he has also given his source to the MAME team), so we should see all this in a future MAME. Thanks Dayvee. - Added X-Men Vs. Street Fighter - Added region switch for Cyberbots and X-Men Vs. Street Fighter
Its hard to keep up with the updates for this good BBC emulator for Windows as various authors have their own releases. Thanks to Jack Johnson for the notification. - *All* undocumented 6502 codes implemented. - Almost full 1770 FDC Support (read/write track (format) and force interrupt still not supported yet) - ADFS Discs (Single or Double sided (auto detected)) now supported. - Fixed cursor positioning problem in Modes 3 and 6 - Fixed mode 7 7-bit control code handling - Fixed cmos.ram file open bug - Fixed sound menu corruption on model change/reset - Fixed rom menu - Added more flexible rom control via use of roms.cfg and optionally the supplied ROM Manager - Fixed that ini file bug... The best Commodore 64 emulator around, this is the DOS port (a Windows port is available from the homepage) and its rather fantastic. - Fixed: Bug with some cartridges like Buck Rogers etc. - Added: Support for Zaxxon Cartridge. - Added: PAL TV filter emulation by John 'Graham' Selck and Philip 'Pepto' Timmermann. - Added: Screen repeat mode in order to support native 100, 150 Hz video modes to emulate the C64 50 Hz refresh rate. - Added: Screenshots can now be saved in different sizes and screen positions. - Added: Machine code monitor now also handle loading / saving of .prg files. Nice emulator, but its shareware which is a bit of a shame. If you do like MSX emulation, you might want to look into registration. So, no$msx version 1.4 is a killer update, spent about three months into almost 150 new details, including cartridge support (currently windows version only sorry), MSX1 and MSX2 fixes, various new setup options, separate MSX1 and MSX2 emulation modes, a digital sound engine, reverse engineering & exact emulation of undocumented Z80 dirt effects, snapshots, updated "Portar" docs built-in, kanji ROM support, GUI improvements taken from the old no$gmb source, details & fixes for the assembler, disassembler and debugger, and various other things. Altogether it should be the fastest MSX emulator, and/or include the most accurate CPU & interrupt timing emulation (there are separate fast/accurate versions). On the other hand, there are still a couple of missing features like SCC sound, sprite collision detect, MSX2-Plus emulation, and cartridge support under DOS. Final Burn, another Capcom System 2 release from Cps2Shock added in. - Added driver for Cyberbots This wonderful best Gameboy Colour emulator for Windows gets another update, compatability is still very high. My only problem is with the scratchy sound. - Fixed problem loading save games - Window title changes when changing languages - Simplified Chinese translation (thanks Eric) - Finnish translation (thanks Hannu Pulli) - translations halted for the moment This is the same release of ePSX as on 11th March, but with all the plugins ready in an easy to use installer.

This release looks rather impressive supporting Final Fantasy IX already, great work. - Added better analogic pad emulation and force feedback. - Now ePSXe includes savestates support. F1 = save state, F3 = load state. - Partially re-writen the internal spu, it should be faster, have less sound glitches and better sound quality. - Optimizations added in gte, mdec and core which makes some games work some fps faster than before. - Fixes to the CD-Rom decoder and the core, which make some more games playable like for example Gran Turismo, Resident Evil, Ape Escape, Kingley Adventure, Legend of Legaia (use the "-legaia" command line), Final Fantasy IX PAL and so on ;-) Finally we get the last version of Massage released to the public. Before Meka showed up, this was the best Master System / Gamegear emulator for DOS. James did a wondeful job, but it was discontinued a few years back, finally this last version shows up. - Emulates undocumented screen mode! This allows SG1000/SC3000 cartridges to work! - GG games can now be viewed with full Master System screen. - Improved x-value of lightgun (from Zoop). - Slightly improved lightgun target sight. - Bugfix: Mouse is now detected properly. - Bugfix: Hopefully SB will now start up everytime. The best Gameboy emulator available. Great compatability with the newer Gameboy Colour roms. - Fixed LEGO Racers and Harley Davidson - Fixed Super Fighters - Window can be sized - Battery save game is not compressed anymore - Sound quality settings for slower machines: 11Khz, 22Khz and 44Khz (default) - 24-bit and 32-bit support - Catalan translation (thanks Raimon Areste) - Vietnamese translation (thanks Le Thanh Hung) - Danish translation (thanks Laust Palbo Nielsen) - Arabic translation (thanks Ali) - Total of 16 languages!
Well as you may, or may not be aware. Nintendo have made alot of sites think twice about their lineup. They appear to have taken legal action on a site for hosting some Snes/Nes/Gameboy roms, now I don't know if this was a few like myself. or a large collection. But its a risk I'm not about to take - therefore I have removed all my Nintendo related roms. I'm now no longer happy with the state of my page, I do not have the same amount of time to update it. And the sections lack the complete-ness that I used to host (emulator, any bios's and a few games to test), therefore I'm thinking this page will not see 5 years old. On a lighter note, I noticed that I have made 200,000 vistors since joining Emulationworld, this is a nice sight and it has been a good two years. Daves very good Arcade emulator continues to storm though the Capcom System 2 games as soon as GeoShock release them. Its a pitty 90% of them are boring beat em ups, I look forward to the release of 19xx. This great Nintendo emulator gets another update, a few fixes here and there make it a good release and a great emulator. - Fixed name garbage when saving files - Fixed RAM, WRAM, VROM and CPU registers dumping - Added PRG data dumping when no VROM is present (due the request) - vsync on/off switch was disabled, oops - Documentation revised. Game Broken: - Sound of Puyo Puyo 2 is now crappy :( - Pause screen is glitched in European Soccer. Speedy Amiga emulation? Well Fellow has always been the fastest Amiga emulator available, the Windows port has continued this trend. I just wish they would use normal version numbers instead of these "snapshots". ffilesys.c - fixed faulty memory allocation which caused strange resets when autoconfig was active sound.c/h, sounddrv.c - new functions for sound notifications and variable bufferlength config.c/h, wgui.c, gui_general.rc/h - added necessary code to handle the notification and buffer length on the sound tab page sysinfo.c - small fixes to the registry hardware parsing on NT; now also lists devices of type "unknown" as sometimes the soundcard is listed there for NT drawa.s - Disabled line-skipping in deinterlace mode. This should fix the bug reported some time ago about missing lines using this drawing mode. floppy.c, zlibwrap.c/h - gzip'ed images (.adz, .adf.gz) are now recompressed upon removal of the disk if the original file was not write protected floppy.c/h - Changes to the extended adf handling; it still doesn't work correctly, but the Turrican Image from the Factor5 homepage gets to the intro screen now. The synchronization code for the encoded parts of the images is still missing.
A new and very popular Windows based AtariST emulator, alot of people have recommended this to me, and from what I have seen - its rather good. I only tried a few games but they ran perfectly and the speed is nice. This is a good replacement to the discontinued WinSTon. The last few releases of Final Burn have been a mess, the author Dave had a big problem with kiddies emailing him regrading certain CPS2 games and lack of support. Dave removed support for all CPS2 from the new releases, when MAME appeared with support for them - he added it back in. v0.101 - Added support for Aliens Vs.
