  • Meka v0.32c
Zoop comes up with a public release of this amazing Sega Master System, Gamegear and Colecovision emulator. It runs the majority of SMS/GG games pefectly and is now fighting through the Colecovision lists...
A stunning emulator with a great GUI.

  • DirectX v7.0a
Last week saw the release of DirectX v7.0a, this is just a minor bugfix for the Direct Play (Joystick drivers) and nothing major, if you have had any joystick related problems, download these.

    Sunday 19th December, 1999

  • MAME v0.36 Beta 12
A bugfix beta, well not offically but looks like one from here. Only two games added in this release: HAL21 & Pinbo but quite a few fixes inc. Tempest and the pokey protection is now emulated fully.

  • Merry Christmas - Everyone
Well, its the final week until Christmas'99: I have finally updated the Links page and I will be verifying the other links ASAP (updated the N64 section).
Not too much happening in emulationland this week, the new release of Magic Engine v1.0 was put back and is expected any day now. I wonder if we will see a release of The Impact before the years out?.. And will my Nvidia GeForce256 card ever turn up, who knows.. Santa?

  • Redump v2.5
A new release of this fantastic tool for converting your old mgd2 dumps into the lovely mvs format, its now can convert 20 roms.. very handy!

    Saturday 11th December, 1999

  • ZSnes v0.988
The best Snes emulator bar none, this amazing piece of code runs almost all Snes games you throw at it, the only ones that don't work are due to a weird chipset. But nothing stops the ZSnes team; they have just added SDD-1 MMC support (though none of the games work, yet). Thats to go along with the support for all the other chips like SuperFX, DSP & SA-1... amazing. Also new is a fix for Cyrix CPUs (ah, the old Cyrix chips) and some SA-1 hacks/fixes.

  • MAME v0.36 Beta 11
MAME - the Racing Beta.. The version of MAME adds support for Pole Position 1 & 2, Cisco Heat, F1 Grand Prix Star & Turbo.. also prelim support for Q-Sound (Capcom) makes this a very good beta!
(I didn't have enough time last week to upload this, sorry!)

    Sunday 5th December, 1999

  • Raine v0.27 Ezel
This is the 2nd update for Raine v0.27 since last weeks beta, now we have a new game called Mahoudai and quite a few bugfixes, looks like a decent set of betas and worth the download, now to trackdown that rom (got it from J-Rom).

  • Basilisk II v0.7 Build 102
A new update for this popular Mac emulator, adds quite a few features (in the last few builds) and this release has a few bugfixes.

    Saturday 4th December, 1999

  • All GIF files back
I have returned all my pictures to the gif format, I hope this helps the people who can't see the PNG format on their browser, I guess the internet aint ready to convert to PNG yet.

    Sunday 28th November, 1999

  • Poll Results: PNG vs. GIF
Well, after looking at the results of the PNG vs. GIF poll, around 85% of visitors can see the PNG files fine, but since there still is quite a few people who can't, I will be returning to GIF files for now (there ain't any real large disadvantages for me). Thanks everyone who took part in the poll.

  • Raine v0.27 Alpha
An Alpha Release of Raine, now that the author Antiriad doesn't have quite as much time to release final versions, he has released this Alpha version, could be buggy - so be warned.. expect a bigfixed version soon.

    Saturday 27th November, 1999

  • DBoy v0.55a
Another update for this Great DOS Gameboy emulator, still no English translation of the docs so we just have something todo with "MBC3" & "TDF" (whatever they are!).

  • ZSnes v0.987
A small update for ZSnes, this version Re-adds Sound Buffering, fixes some Triple Buffering bugs but there is a flicker glitch on NVidia cards (upcomming problem for me?). Also added are Simulated Triple Buffering for cards without VESA 3.0 and a directory fix up.

    Sunday 21st November, 1999

  • MAME v0.36 Beta 10
A week later, a new MAME release with some good games supported: finally Pong is emulated/simulated (it has no roms), I-Robot is finally working and Double Dragon 3 is included, great stuff.

    Saturday 20th November, 1999

  • New Graphics Overall
I'm in the middle of a graphics overhaul, in order to keep the page online, this update will be done in realtime. Just now I have updated the bar on the left and intend on updating alot more over the weekend. Main objectives for this update were faster loading times while still keeping the same blue theme.

  • DBoy v0.54
I dunno whats new in this version of this great Gameboy emulator, but its always good to see a new release of this emulator as it brings it another stage closer to perfection (if thats possible).

  • NeoGeo Pocket Emulator
Finally a NeoGeo Pocket emulator has been released for Windows 9x/NT, this great little handheld console (very similar to the Gameboy) has an emulator, roms have been available for a while (check GeoShock & DNGRS). The emulator is Shareware (around a $5 reg free) but the Trial version lacks sound emulation and control is disabled, its worth the small download just to look at the games available for the system. Lets hope for more emulators for this handheld being released (then I will add a page).

  • ZSnes v0.985
A new update for this amazing DOS based Snes emulator has had a large update. Nothing from the whatsnew.txt jumps out, but alot of fixes are present, looks like a decent update overall.
Now when can I play Pilotwings?

    Sunday 14th November, 1999

  • MAME v0.36 Beta 9.1
A 2nd update to this beta, this version has a bugfix for the TMS34010 emulation and is complied better.

  • PC Atari v2.2
The best Atari 2600 emulator, I don't have enough 2600 experience to make a call but its such a close battle as the emulator is so good.

    Sunday 7th November, 1999

  • Amiga Archive Down
My old server (UKOnline) which was holding my Amiga Archive has had a major fault and lost alot of the pages.. as a result of this - I lost all the Amiga Archive pages and files, it will take quite some time to recover.

    Sunday 31st October, 1999

  • RockNES v0.981
This is a smaller update, a series of fixes is what's enclosed.. nothing major - but a good emulator overall!

  • MAME v0.36 Beta 8
On schedule, two weeks after the last beta comes a MAME release, not looked at this yet, have a look at the whatsnew.txt for details.
